Efflorescence: Causes and Prevention, with Foster Lyons

On June 11, 2021, the 91社区福利 welcomed Foster Lyons for the Continuing Education course "Efflorescence: Causes and Prevention", presented as part of the Spring 2021 Health, Safety, and Welfare in Traditional Design Day.

This course is a primer in the causes and prevention of efflorescence on masonry.

This course will enable participants to:

1. Identify the four conditions necessary for efflorescence to occur.

2.Identify the primary cause of efflorescence in those unfortunate times when it does occur on a masonry assembly.

3. Properly specify masonry materials so as to reduce the risk of experiencing efflorescence.

4. Properly detail masonry assemblies so as to reduce the risk of experiencing efflorescence.
